Grace words for today*
AUG21*
OVERCOMING OPPRESSION!*
“In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.”(Isai. 54:14)*
Oppression is as a result of pressure that has become established against a person. It reveals the emptiness within that could’nt contain the pressure without. Naturally, when atmospheric pressure affects an empty covered container, the container begins to crumble, until it finally colapses. So is the pressure of the enemy against a person’s heart that is not established in righteousness by the faith of Christ. When a believer’s heart is established in righteousness by faith in the finished work of Christ and not by his self effort in keeping the law, the pressures of life against him will not lead to oppression, because he has the knowledge of Christ to overcome oppression. The believer can only be oppressed when he is trying to be justified by keeping the law, which is impossible, because no one can be justified by the law in the sight of God and by the knowledge of the law, sin is revealed, leading to condemnation and oppression.
CONFESSION: I am established in righteousness by faith of Christ, and I am far from oppression, fear and terror!
