Grace words for today*
SEPT30*
THE LAW REVEALS SIN!*
“Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Rom.5:20-21).*
The law was given not to save those under the law from sin, but to let them know the power of sin over them, for sin is revealed by the knowledge of the law.
The sin nature has been destroyed by the sacrifice of Jesus through the shedding of His blood, but the influence to sin is still there by the body of sin left behind, which is actually an unrenewed mind that has not yet come to an understanding of the knowledge of the grace of God in Christ, which is the power of God that brought salvation from sin.
The new creation has been delivered from the sin and must consider himself dead to sin, but alive in Christ, in other to enjoy the grace that has abounded much more towards him to overcome the influence to commit sin, because he is not under the law.
CONFESSION: I consider myself dead to sin and I reign in life by grace through the righteousness of faith in Christ!
