WE GIVE THANKS!*
“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:” (Col.1:12-14)*
As believers, we need to give thanks to God for the things He has done for us in Christ. Paul is telling us here to give thanks because we have been qualified to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light, which is eternal life. We now have eternal life (God’s life) abiding in us, and we have been delivered out of darkness and translated into the kingdom of God’s dear Son. All this took place, when we were redeemed by the blood of Jesus and all our sins forgiving. Knowing this truth makes us to give thanks for what we have in Christ.
